Embracing the Unexpected and Becoming Unhurried

This week, North Carolina experienced another dumping of snow that slowed our cities and stilled the hurriedness of life. Many schools and jobs were shut down, and those that remained open left only a few folks on the roads, as we don’t have the equipment or readiness plans of northern states when it comes to winter weather. And it seems that when we expect a light dusting, we get an ice storm (like last week), and when we expect nearly a foot of snow we have this. It is absolutely beautiful, but in no way the “Snowpocalypse” that was projected.
